The Cameron House is one of Toronto's true hidden gems for live music lovers. The atmosphere is intimate, warm, and full of character, making every performance feel personal and unforgettable. I stopped by for a jazz night and was blown away by the talent of the musicians. The sound quality was excellent, and the cozy setting allowed everyone to feel connected to the performance. The venue has a unique bohemian charm with beautiful artwork and murals that add to its personality. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the crowd was respectful and genuinely there to appreciate the music. If you're looking for an authentic live jazz experience away from the larger commercial venues, The Cameron House is the perfect spot. A fantastic place to discover local artists, enjoy great music, and spend a memorable evening in Toronto. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back!
Great place for live music, we went on Valentine's so the place was packed with a very lively atmosphere. No cover charge, instead they hand around a jar for musician tips. We saw Fraser Melvin Blues Band, and they were fantastic! The bar is cash only, no food but the drinks were pretty good. We got there around 10 and got the last free table, so I'd recommend getting there early if you want a good seat. The bouncer Patrick was wonderful as well!
Small, intimate venue. Great supportor of local music, great sound. Cash only! They let you bring in outside food. I didn't pay for drinks but it all seemed reasonable. (There is a back room i didn't see). If you go on a Thursday you will not be disappointed. There will always be a small time.
Cool vibes, but very cramped. The mural on the outside is iconic, and the roots music we heard was fantastic. However, the space inside is incredibly tight. It was hard to find a spot to stand, let alone sit, and the service at the bar was a bit chaotic. Worth poking your head in for a drink, but maybe not for a whole evening.
Saw Mike Plume here in the Front Room. Sound was good, audience was attentive - as a listening room should be. There's quite a few tables with standing room too. Get there early if you want a seat. It's cash only with a good selection of beers - even a couple of good local craft non-alcoholic beers. Bartender was friendly, helpful and attentive. No food service here, so we brought in takeout to eat there. It's a great place to see live music. We would definitely go again.
